Gallery of completed projects![]() This conference table is 16 feet long and 8 feet wide. It is made of Sapele Mahogany plywood and Solid Sapele Mahogany over a composite core. The feet are turned aluminum. The stretchers are tied together with threaded rod to ensure stability over the length and width of the table. A conference table like this could include wiring raceways to allow for conference phones, computers and projectors without having cords all over the table. This jewel box is what is called a band-saw box due to its construction method. The wood is myrtle wood which is found in Oregon. It starts out as a single piece of wood and with careful band-saw work you form the body, drawers and the back. It is a wonderfully novel accessory or gift for that someone special. Here is another band-saw box, showing a little different design. This one is of Walnut. Bandsaw boxes can also have "secret compartments" that only you know about. ![]() This quilt chest is made of solid Cedar. It was designed to protect a memory quilt for a member of a youth organization. The insignia and name are laser engraved, which can be done on many projects. ![]() This music box nativity set was created for my mother-in-law who collects nativity sets. It has walnut, myrtle wood, and almond in various places on the work. Mary, Joseph, and the baby turn as the music plays. This piece is designed as a "soup station" for a buffet. The soup heating pots are recessed into the top and the controls are behind the long door across the front. The top splits apart to allow the heat pots to be removed for cleaning and repair. The material is maple melamine for ease of cleaning. The base is made of composite recycled lumber that has been plasticized. This allows the cleaning of the floor with lots of water and prevents damage to the case. This is a tool cabinet - one of a set of 5 cabinets I made for a job training center. The cabinet is made of birch plywood and solid birch. It has expanded metal mesh on the doors so that the instructors can inventory tools easier and piano hinges on the door to be able to handle the rough use that this type of cabinet can get. A pegboard piece on the back allows rapid reconfiguration of tools for various classes. This is a gym cabinet for storage of gym bags. It is made of white melamine material with a Formica top. This simple table was requested to put a printer on in an office. The styling reflects the other furniture in the office with gently tapered legs and framed panel top and shelf.
This wedding arch was built so that the couple or the minister could stand beneath it. It is made in three pieces for easy storage and it allows the bride to decorate it any way she wishes.
This piece was designed to celebrate a Casino 12th anniversary. It is a punch board with prizes placed in the slots where the customer can choose a spot to punch out in order to get their prize. It is constructed of maple melamine. The base is covered in carpet and edged with brass edging. This drink station was designed for a casino. It features an acrylic composite top, maple melamine case and composite recycled lumber base (again to allow the cleaning of floors with lots of water). The top has openings for the trash cans, inset cup dispensers and passages for the soda and drains. |
